Why do Babies cry?
Babies probably feel that only by crying they can communicate effectively.Ã’šÃ‚ Ã’šÃ‚ Well, what do they communicate? Ã’šÃ‚ The only thing that can be communicated through crying could be discomfort. Ã’šÃ‚ It takes some time for the parents to understand the reason behind the baby crying. Ã’šÃ‚ After about 6 months they can differentiate the cries of the baby, due to pain, due to hunger or thirst and due to boredom.
But it is observed that most babies cry for no noticeable cause. Ã’šÃ‚ Sometimes to overcome a fearful situation babies might cry. Ã’šÃ‚ If the baby is not comfortable with the clothing and the surrounding temperature he may cry. Ã’šÃ‚ When the baby cannot say that it is sultry inside, or it is cool inside, he can only communicate this discomfort with a cry. Ã’šÃ‚ If the baby is tired, irritated and wants to sleep, he can tell that only by crying.
Babies also cry due to inconvenience caused by diapers, or due to an insect bite or any allergy. Ã’šÃ‚ They cry when teeth emerge. Ã’šÃ‚ It is found that the behavior of the mother and her moods might often influence the baby. Ã’šÃ‚ A mother who is always moody, depressed and furious will cause her baby to also be restless and crying. Ã’šÃ‚ Some mothers get frustrated by hearing their baby crying, and will not try to control him. Ã’šÃ‚ That might be another cause for the baby to cry excessively.
Some babies might have got used to sucking the mother’s breast. Ã’šÃ‚ So they feel comfortable in sucking, but not the mother’s breast or bottle.Ã’šÃ‚ When it is identified that they are crying for that purpose, provide him with an artificial dummy nipple. Ã’šÃ‚ Some babies cry for elders to hold him in their hands and entertain him. Ã’šÃ‚ Babies also cry due to the condition called colic. Ã’šÃ‚ This is explained as muscular contractions in the digestive tract that cause pain.
It is really difficult to identify the cause for the baby’s cry.
